What do you need?

Materials

  • Paracord, 2 colors of about 150 cm each, 3 mm thick (1/8 inch)
  • Mini buckle

Tools

  • Scissors
  • Lighter
  • Work holder (optional)

Steps

1

Cut 2 piece

  • Cut 2 pieces of paracord, each about 130 cm long.
2

Melt together your 2 colors

  • DangerThe molten plastic from the rope is very hot!
  • Melt one end of each piece to stop the rope from fraying.
  • Melt the other ends of the rope together to create one long piece of rope.
3

Add one side of the buckle

  • Add one side of the buckle as shown on the photo.
4

Add the other side of the buckle

  • Add the other side of the buckle.
  • Measure it around your wrist. Make sure you have a bit of slack as the bracelet will get thicker.
  • Adjust the stand to the right size and attach your rope to it. If you dont have a stand, don't worry, the stand is optional.

The knots

  • Good to knowTry to tie the knots with the same tension for the best result.
  • Pick the color that you want to see in the middle of your bracelet. That will always be the color you start with.
  • Lay the color you just picked over the 2 center strands.
  • Take the other end. Lay it over the first color, under the 2 center strands and up through the loop of the first color.
  • Pull tight.
6

Repeat

  • Repeat the knot, always starting with the same color.
7

Finish up

  • When you can't fit any more knots, cut off the left-over rope.
  • Use a lighter to melt the ends. Push the molten plastic into the bracelet using the back of the lighter.
8

Finished

  • All done.
