step 1 - Make the template
- Take an A3 paper and mark off 4cm on the long side.
- Use the ruler to draw a line from the corner to your mark.
- Cut the paper along the line you just made.
step 2 - Cut the fabric
- Transfer the template to your fabric using pencil or the chalk.
- Cut the fabric.
step 3 - Single hem on the angled side
- Lay the fabric down as shown in the picture.
- Fold over the angled side and secure it with pinss.
- Sew the hem.
step 4 - Double hem on the other sides
- These sides will be visible when the roll is done. Thats why we give them a double hem.
- Fold the other sides over twice and pin them in place.
- Sew the double hem.
step 5 - Sew the sides
- Fold the angled side over so that the hem faces the inside.
- Sew the sides together.
step 6 - Sew the dividers
- Mark the places where you want your dividers to be.
- Sew the dividers. You dont have to cut the thread every time you start a new line, you can cut them all at the end.
step 7 - Sew the top fold
- Fold the top down and sew a line about 5mm from the top. This will make the fabric fold down easier.
step 8 - Attach the leather strip
- Cut off a thin strip of the leather to act as string.
- Sew the middle of the string to one of the sides of the tool-roll.
step 9 - Done
- Fill your roll with your tools and you're all done!.
